Government threatens to revoke NITEL’s sale

The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) yesterday threatened to revoke the sale of Nigeria Telecommunication Limited (NITEL), if the preferred and reserved bidders fail to pay their bid prices.The preferred bidder, New Generation Telecom Consortium, has said it has the financial muscle to pay its bid price of $2.5 billion.
