Job Title: Farm Accountant (FA)

Aqua Harvest Ltd. ("AH") is a startup aquaculture project with annual production capacity of 1.000 tons of Cat fish (African Clarias, Heteroclarias and Claresse).

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Farm Accountant will be responsible for the accounting and record keeping of all monetary transactions of the farm.

The FA's main role includes:

•   Provide accurate, timely and complete monthly farm accounting records. including depreciation, payroll, sales, cost accounting, balance sheets, and full-service accounts;

•   Input and log farm accounting data. reports, and other necessary information to the farm accounting system

•   Establish new customers on farm accounting; close out year-end accounts; calculate and process farm accounting invoices;

•   Review, balance. key in and print monthly farm accounting reports; close out year-end accounts;

•   Assemble, review, and mail processed farm accounting reports to users:

•   Request. obtain, input, and reconcile financial information from other non-farm accounting customers for fina service purposes;

•   Provide update on farm accounting delinquencies;

•   Develop a proper intemal control process for cash receipt, deposit and management;

Requirements:

•   Bachelor degree (Minimum of Second Class Lower Division) in Accounting or a related business field with five or more years of related experience;

•   Professional Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) will be an added advantage;

•   Agriculture environment experience is highly desirable.

•   Strong interpersonal, presentation, sales, analytical, time management and organizational skills as well a ability to use various computer applications (Quick books);

•   Must be able to confidently and succinctly communicate "value added" business and financial concepts to investors and management.
