Main Purpose of Job: Management and coordination all EHS system and standards.

Main Responsibilities:

Safety:

•   Ensure that the provisions and Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OH&SA) are complied with on site by employees and contractors.

•   Ensure Risk Management systems are implemented and reviewed to meet KC's and Regulatory requirements.

•   Review method of work statements for each contractor before commencing of work

•   Ensure compliance to Safety Management Systems on site

•   Ensure employees, contractors, contractor employees and sub-contractors are safety inducted before commencement of work.

•   Manage all safety procedures for contractors working on projects.

•   Ensure that safety files of contractors comply with regulations and are regularly reviewed for compliance.

•   Prepare permits and other documentation required by contractors to ensure KC and Regulatory requirements are met

Health: Ensure that occupational hygiene and health requirements are upheld by all employees and contractors alike

Environment: Ensure employees and contractors adhere to KC Environmental policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications / Experience:

•   Minimum five years relevant experience in FMCG EHS environment

•   Possession of a NEBOSH certificate will be an advantage

Practical and working knowledge of:

•   Occupational Health and Safety Act.

•   ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

•   Safety and Risk Management Principles.  

•   Contractor Management
