Eagles reserve goalie confident of victory Home-based Eagles goalkeeper, Chigozie Agbim, is unperturbed by the antics of the Malawi national team who are hell bent on exploring all the means to undermine Nigeria's progress to the final rounds of qualifiers to the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The Malawian FA forwarded a strong complaint letter to FIFA over the comments of Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi about their team's head coach Tom Saintfiet just as they expressed reservations about the security arrangements in Calabar, venue of this weekend's World Cup qualifier.

Agbim however assured Nigerians that the Eagles are focused on Saturday's crucial game at the UJ Eusene Stadium.

"The players and coaches are looking forward to the game on Saturday. I know the Malawians will be beaten and we'll qualify for the final rounds of qualifiers."

"Nigerians should just come out and cheer us. We all want to be at the World Cup and will do our best to make it," the Enugu Rangers keeper stated.

The Malawi FA had sent a delegation to see first hand security arrangements on ground ahead of the game but expressed happiness with the plans made by the Nigerian FA for the game.

Nigeria needs only a draw to qualify for the next round of qualifiers where Africa's five representatives for the 2014 World Cup will be competed by 10 countries in a two-legged fixtures.
