The Federal Polytechnic Oko invites applications from suitably qualified candidates into the following position(s):

1. CHIEF LECTURER (CONTISS 15)

QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Holder of a doctoral degree in the relevant field(s) from a recognized institution with at least 12years of teaching/applied research/industrial work experience.
II. Holder of a masters degree in the relevant field(s) from a recognized institution with at least 14years of teaching/approved research and industrial work experience.

In addition to the above the candidate should have
a.  Registration with a recognized professional body in essential.
b. Demonstrable ability to offer academic/administrative leadership
c.  Evidence of distinction in a particular field to specialization and demonstrated ability to take on added responsibility.
d. Demonstrable ability to initiate and supervise applied research/project/exhibition
e.  4 additional papers accepted for publication in reputable journals since last promotion.
f.  3 other papers read at national/international conferences/seminars
g. Not less than 4 meaningful chapter contributions in standard textbook(s).
h. Two standard textbooks
i.   Evidence of community service.

2. PRINCIPAL LECTURER (CONTISS 14)

QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Holder of a Doctorate degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution with at least 9 years of teaching applied or research in institution of higher learning will also be required.
II. Holder of a master degree or appropriate post graduate qualification from a recognized institution with a minimum of 11years of relevant cognate experience.

In addition to the above the candidate should have
a. 3 additional papers accepted for publication in reputable journals since last promotion (if applicable)
b. Not less than 3 meaningful chapter contribution in standard textbook(s)
c. One standard textbook
d. Evidence of ability to provide academic/administration
e. 3 conference/seminar papers.
f. Evidence of ability to provide academic/administrative leadership and community service.
g. Demonstrate ability to initiate and supervise applied research/project/exhibition/production.
h. Registration with a recognized professional body.

3. SENIOR LECTURER (CONTISS 13)

QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Holder of a PhD with at least 6years cognate experience.
II. Holders of a master's degree from a recognized institution with at least 6 years on-the-job cognate experience with proven ability for applied research and production work.

In addition the candidate should have
a. Demonstrable ability to initiate and supervise approved research project/exhibition of copy technology.
b. Two additional papers accepted for publication in reputable journals plus two conference/seminar papers.
c. Not less than two meaningful chapter contributions in standard textbook(s).
d. Evidence of Academic and Administrative leadership.

4. LECTURER I (CONTISS 12)

QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Holder of a doctorate degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least three years of teaching/research in an institution of higher learning. Industrial experience and contribution to scholarly publications will be an advantage.
II. Holder of masters degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least 5 years teaching and research in an institution of higher learning. Industrial experience and contribution to scholarly publication will be an advantage.

In addition to the above requirements the candidate should have
a. A demonstrated ability to initiate and supervise research projects.
b. At least two conference/seminar papers
c. At least one additional journal article accepted for publication
d. Some evidence of administrative and community service.

5. LECTURER II (CONTISS 9)

QUALIFICATIONS:
a. Holder of a good honours degree or equivalent professional qualification plus a minimum of 5 years relevant post qualification teaching/research and industrial experience
b. A masters degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution plus at least 3 years experience
c. A doctorate degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution
In addition to the above, candidates for the post should have evidence of either a presentation of two seminar/conference papers/exhibition one journal accepted for publication.

6. LECTURER III (CONTISS

QUALIFICATIONS:
a. Holder of a master's degree in relevant field from a recognized university with NYSC certificate plus evidence of post secondary teaching qualification.

7. ASSISTANT LECTURER (CONTISS 7)

QUALIFICATIONS:
a. A good honours degree or equivalent. Relevant experience plus evidence of post secondary teaching qualification will be an added advantage.

8. TECHNOLOGIST II (CONTISS 7)

QUALIFICATIONS:
a. Holder of AIST (Associate Membership of the Institute of Science Technologist).
b. HND OR equivalent qualification.
c. The full technology certificate (or equivalent) plus 3 years relevant experience

9. HIGHER INSTRUCTOR (CONTISS 7)

QUALIFICATIONS:
a. Holder of a HND or equivalent from a recognized higher institution of learning with NYSC discharge certificate plus a Technical Teachers certificate.
b. Holder of City & Guild FTC plus Technical Teachers' Certificate obtained at a FCE (Technology) plus 2 years working experience.
