Directorate of Undergraduate programme, FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, OKENE IN AFFILIATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO DEGREE PROGRAMME FOR 2013/2014 ACADEMIC SESSION IN AFFILIATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN.

1.0  The Federal College of Education, Okene in programme affiliation with the University of Ibadan invites interested qualified candidates for admission into the Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) Degree Programme for the 2013/2014 Academic session.

1.1 The programme would lead to the award of the Bachelor Degrees in the following areas.
1.  Education/Christian Religious Studies
2.  Education/Islamic Studies
3.  Education/English Language
4.  Education Physical & Health Education
5.  Education/French
6.  Education/Biology
7.  Education/Chemistry
8.  Education/Mathematics
9.  Educational Management
10.  Social Studies
11.  Guidance & Counseling

1.2  The duration of the programme is four years for candidates through JAMB, UTME and three years for candidates through Direct Entry.
1.3   Candidates who had applied to the University of Ibadan and any other Nigerian University can apply.

2.0 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates for the four years full time programme must have scored the JAMB prescribed cut-off mark of 180 in the 2013 UTME. The UTME subjects must be relevant to the choice of course of study.
2.1  Candidates must be holders of WASC, SSCE, GCE, NECO or equivalent with CREDIT passes in FIVE subjects at one sitting or in SIX subjects at two sittings including Mathematics, English Language and the teaching subjects.
2.2  Candidates for Direct Entry must be holders of Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in addition to 2.1 above and must have completed the 2013/2014 Direct Entry application forms. The NCE subjects should be relevant to choice of course of study and candidates must have at least mine grade points on the subjects.
2.2  Direct Entry candidates need not come for the post UTME screening examination.

3.0 METHODS OF APPLICATION

Interested applicants must pay application fees of N5000 and fill their forms on line as follows:
3.1  Visit the College Web-Portal (WAeUP.Kofa - Student Management System) or through the College website (Federal College of Education, Okene)
3.2  Click application and then select your category e.g Direct Entry (DE) 2013/2014 or UTME 2013/2014.
3.3  Fill the form and make online payment of  application form fees with ATM cards (Master or Vereve)
3.4  Download and print the payment receipt, application form and screening acknowledgement slip.
3.5  Submit copies of the prints along with your credentials to the Directorate of Undergraduate Studies, Federal College of Education Okene on the day of examination.
3.6  Come along with your acknowledgement slip and writing materials (biro, pencil, eraser, etc) for the screening examination which will be announced at a later date.
3.7  Note that the closing date for all applications 30th September, 2013.
