PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

•   The BI Principal Consultant demonstrates extensive functional and solution experience through the facilitation, implementation and support of SAP Analytics products to enhance the customer's business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.

•   The BI Principal Consultant is considered the senior thought leader in the area of product or solution expertise and leverages their advanced skills in consulting and problem solving to create customer value, oftentimes in high profile, strategic accounts.

•   One should continually maintain a high degree of knowledge and understanding of these areas of expertise, business process and solutions; keep current with release levels, industry issues, and market trends.

•   Assume responsibility for the successful implementation of SAP BI processes, solutions, and products within assigned accounts for core area of expertise.

•   Strategic and tactical recommendations and decisions for customers/externally regularly and will advise management internally on a regular basis.

•   The BI Principal Consultant will provide extensive technical and functional knowledge regarding the configuration of SAP BW and SAP BI projects and interact with customer contacts to ensure alignment of the design with business strategy and objectives.

•   The BI Principal Consultant will use formal methodologies during requirements gathering, design, build/test and deployment.

•   The BI Principal Consultant will be committed to maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction in each of their accounts and growing and developing reference able customers through their implementation, investigation, analysis, instruction and relationship building efforts.

•   To be successful in this role one needs capability and willingness to support sales activities and enthusiasm to be front runner on skill development in new areas and solutions.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

•   BI Analytics Expertise Consulting: This area focuses on consulting in BI area of expertise by providing specific functional and solution knowledge transfer, instruction and assistance; analysing business requirements objectives for solution enhancements.

•   Responsible for successful implementations within assigned accounts for their core area of expertise

•   Maintain a high degree of expertise and understanding of SAP BI technologies, business processes and solutions, keeping current with release levels, industry issues, market trends and mentorand mentor colleagues via knowledge transfer within BI area of expertise

•   Seek to expand areas of subject matter expertise either through the pursuit of deeper product/solution/process knowledge or through the acquisition of broader knowledge, encompassing cross application areas or additional core R/3 modules

•   Expand credible relationships with clients customers, develops own professional learning of

•   SAP products/technologies and solutions

•   Expanding credible relationships within SAP by leveraging their network across groups and regional contacts

•   Be actively involved in the preparation, conception, realization and Go Live of customer implementation projects

•   Demonstrate the ability plan, run, and manage blueprint workshop/meetings with internal and external clients customers

•   Providing a creative source of ideas/solutions to address problems

•   Delivering billable components that meets a customer's needs

•   The right candidates will be able to contribute to the skills development

•   At SAP you will mainly be working with the latest releases of the software,. You one would also be able to participate in implementation of ramp-up releases before the software is generally released

•   Actively involved in the management, preparation, conception, realization and Go Live of customer implementation projects

•   Performing feasibility studies and process design reviews

•   Support of pre-sales activities

•   Team Lead activities and responsibilities

•   Detailed planning of process implementation

•   Define detailed blueprint for development requirements

•   Industry /corporate process implementation process implementation across all related applications related applications (SAP/non-SAP)

•   Develop and Assure quality of process models

•   Demonstrating expert knowledge of modelling standards and tools

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Functional Experience:

•   Min 6-8 years consulting experience in project implementation

•   Has performed several feasibility studies

•   Has managed difficult client situations

•   Deep understanding of industry specific business processes

•   Deep knowledge about all industry specific processes

•   Active member of the Business Intelligence/Analytics' community

•   Acts as a moderator in the KM environment

•   Bachelor's degree

•   Minimum 7 full life cycle SAP BI implementation projects

•   Well-developed customer focus

•   Good presentation and communication skills

•   Good command on English

•   Ready to travel for assignments (short term and long term)

Managerial Experience:

•   Acted as a sub project leader in more than 4 projects

•   Acts as a coach for colleagues

WORK EXPERIENCE:

•   Minimum of 6-8 years' experience with SAP Analytical solutions

•   7 full life cycle of SAP Analytics Implementation projects
