Reporting Line:   Data Center Project Manager   

Responsibilities: The Civil Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and reporting daily civil construction works and activities on the Data Center construction site including performing critical quality checks and controls.

Responsibilities will include:

•   Daily supervision of Civil Works

•   Monitoring & reporting daily Civil construction work activities on site

•   Keep track of civil work & ensure alignment with approved design drawings

•   Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.

•   Supervising test of materials – Cable tests, – Reinforcement tests, – Concrete tests, – Other material tests as necessary.

•   Report on construction methodology as needed and any areas for improvement

•   Co-ordinates site inspections and site instructions

Other responsibilities assigned by DC PM, Head Capital Projects

Supervision: To work under direct supervision of a Data Centre Project Manager

Contacts: Data Center PM, Other Project engineers/PMs, Technical Project Co-ordinator, Facilities engineers, Procurement, Finance

Competencies Required:   

•   Graduate Civil Engineer with 2-3 years' experience in specialized civil works

•   Active experience on site supervising civil works

•   Technical knowledge with an engineering background is preferred

•   Excellent communication skills with attention to detail

•   Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving skills

•   Self-management skills

•   Team work

•   Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project

•   Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Visio design software
