... 5 ex-commissioners make new list 

From GBENGA ADESUYI, Ibadan  Oyo State House of Assembly has received a list of 12 names from Governor Abiola Ajimobi for confirmation as commissioners in the state. The nominees comprising five of the commissioners earlier dropped in the last cabinet dissolution are Adebayo Ojo, Dapo Lam Adesina, Princess Adetutu Adeyemi Akhigbe, Muyiwa Gbadegesin and Zacheus Adelabu.  Others are Prof. S. O. Olaniyan, Princess Olufunke Oworu, Prince Gbade Lana, Faruk Umar Alao, Adewale Lawrence Olujide, Abiodun Fatai Atanda and Deji Akande.

The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Monsurat Sunmonu read the list of the nominees to the House while promising that the lawmakers would peruse the credential of the nominees, reiterating that there would be no 'bow and go'.

According to the speaker, the nominees were ordered to appear before the House for screening yesterday by 10am, adding that they were expected to come along with 40 copies of their credentials.

Also in a related development, the Assembly has approved the tenure extension by six months for the 33 transition committee chairmen in the 33 local government areas of the state.

This followed a request for the approval sent to the Assembly by Governor Ajimobi.

Their tenure would have expired tomorrow.
