Cross River State - Flood: Usani Begs Sema, Philanthropists for Support

A retired Civil Servant, Mr. Nelson Lekam Usani has sent save our Soul message to Cross River State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Yakurr Local Government Area, philanthropists' organizations and individuals to come to the aid of his family and donate food stuff, household and cash items to save his family from hardship, hunger and disease.

Mr. Usani made this appeal while narrating his ordeal to News Men at his country home Ketabebe, opposite Time Christian Chapel along Loseni Road in Ugep, following flood disaster that ravaged his household and destroyed personal effects, documents and other vital property worth millions of Naira.

The 70 year-old man said the flood, which over ran and washed away his house, followed four hours of heavy rainfall in the area, explaining that he is thankful to God for his children that were not drowned by the raging flood.

Mr. Usani who was seen scooping water from his building said the appeal has become necessary so as to help his family return back to his house from the neighbourhood, where they are currently taking refuge.
