Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has declared that his administration will not discriminate against anybody on the basis of his religious affiliation as it believes that everybody is equal before God.     Governor Amosun made this declaration yesterday at the opening of 2013 ECWA Pastors’ Conference held at the RCCG Redemption Camp, Lagos/ Ibadan Expressway. Represented by the Head of Service, Mrs. Modupe Adekunle, Governor Amosun emphasised that merit and personal abilities are the major criteria considered by his government when dealing with the people.     The Governor said irrespective of their beliefs, Nigerians wherever they live must co-exist peacefully and give mutual respect to one another to ensure political and socio-economic development of the country, explaining that God himself abhors discrimination.     Assuring that his government would continue to render assistance to religious bodies so that they would continue to perform their functions of reforming souls, the Governor pledged that the request made by the Church for land allocation for their annual programme would be favorably considered.     Earlier in his address, President, Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Gado appreciated the State government for accommodating churches, enjoining political and traditional leaders to act conscientiously over matters affecting the people regardless of their ethnic or religious leaning.
