A group within the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the Ogun PDP Vigilante Group, has called on President Goodluck Jonathan, members of the National Working Committee, NWC of the party and all PDP controlled states to be at alert to activities of some members of the party whose "intent and purpose was to ensure total failure of the party both at states and national level."

The group in a statement signed by its chairman and secretary, Alhaji Farouk Akintunde and Sunday Sodipe respectively, said that those hell bent on destablising the party are now crying more than the bereaved, wondering what effect the ruling of the Court of Appeal which reinstated former secretary of the PDP, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, would have on Ogun State chapter of the party to now prompt the 'court-installed' executive of the party in Ogun State to head to the Supreme Court.

Saying that the truth behind the whole farce of court case against Oyinlola was now emerging, the group wondered why the ruling of the appellate court was not obeyed immediately, considering that "when Oyinlola was removed through court judgement, he was immediately replaced despite the fact that Oyinlola appealed against the judgement. Now that the table has turned, these people are now singing a new tune."

Alleging that the people behind Oyinlola's ordeal are being financed, sponsored and led by a self-acclaimed financial leader of the party in Ogun State, who joined the party in 2010 "for a purpose known only to him and those who sent him on the errand," the group said that it was unfortunate that these elements had succeeded in penetrating the PDP NWC and National Executive Council, NEC, to further destabilise the party.

There is nothing as good as vigilance in a situation like this.
That is the best thing
