Cynthia Agbolor is one of the intercourseiest actresses in the movie industry. Having started her career as a child actor in Tales By Moonlight, she ventured into Nollywood proper in 1995 with a Chico Ejiro flick entitled, Heart Beat.

Combining beauty and brain, the thespian who was crowned Miss Lagos in 2000, is still looking beautiful and intercoursey as ever. The Delta State-born actress opened up to The Entertainer in Abuja. She spoke extensively on her career, love life, and her pet project, Little Queen of Lagos pageant billed for December. Excerpts:

What are you doing in Abuja?

I came for the Catholic Artistes and Entertainers Association of Nigeria (CAEAN) promotion of The Prodigal Flock and Back from the Wild, a flick in which I featured, and as a member of the association I had to be here to see to the distribution of our movies mostly in Catholic churches.

Is this the first movie produced by CAEAN?

No! It is actually the second movie and the acceptance has been tremendous especially in Catholic churches.

Are you a Catholic?

I am a staunch Catholic.

How long have you been in Abuja for this project?

I have been in Abuja for over three weeks now. And hopefully, I will leave for Lagos to start the preparation for my beauty pageant tagged, Little Queen of Lagos, which will take off in December. So, I am really working toward the success of the pageant. Already, people have started calling me for registration and how to help support the project. In fact, the registration process is encouraging because a lot of children are applying for the competition.

You are making plans for the second edition of Little Queen of Lagos, what was the motivation knowing you didn't have enough sponsors yet you ventured into the project?

Though, the first edition was not rosy, it was successful. I don't have any regret about it that is why I tagged it an annual event. And I love the pageant so much because it is exclusively for kids, which is part of my vision because I started as a kid actor and my desire to discover young talents motivated my dream for an annual competition. So, I did the pageant on my own and a lot of people present attested to my vision, and it indeed attracted some supports from them, which was also a form of encouragement for me.

Since you were not able to get sponsorship for the last edition, how do you hope to survive?

I have been talking to some companies for support and I pray they give their support in no distance time.

What are your expectations for this year's edition of Little Queen of Lagos?

I expect this year's edition to be greater than the maiden edition. The kids are going to showcase their talents in various dimensions not just the beauty pageant, there will be choreography for the kids, and there will be a runway for them and also the playing of piano, guitar among others. In fact, it is a talent exhibition. I also wish to encourage parents to support their children to realize the talent in them. Parents should try and check on their children's talent. Like the late Michael Jackson who lived and died a legendary singer discovered his talent at a tender age and embraced it with the support of his family. And I expect that children friendly companies see the event as a platform to promote their goods and services.

How old were you when you started acting?

I was six-years-old when I started my acting career. And I was born on May 27, which is children day, so I love children and celebrating with the orphans on my birthday gives me a lot of happiness which I don't joke with because I tag my birthday as theirs too.

How is your movie, Tears for Tomorrow, doing in the market?

I had a deal with a marketer and the deal is in progress and we hope something great will come out of it.

Why have you stayed away from the screen for some time now?

I have a lot of projects on ground that are taking lots of my time, but I still make out time to shoot movies which is part of what brought me to Abuja. I am also working on a location in Nasarawa State, even when I came to Abuja for the Catholic movie promotion I still tap the opportunity of working at ease unlike Lagos where you have a lot of traffic and physical stress.

What do your fans expect from you?

They should expect to see more of Cynthia Agbolor on screen; I want to establish a children variety programme on television that will showcase children's talent just like Tales by Moonlight, Kiddies Vision 1O1, and Children's Parliament.

Would you prefer to settle down in Abuja?

Against all odds I still prefer living in Lagos because that is where I was born and bred. Life is easier in Lagos, unlike Abuja where the standard of living is high.

Are you saying if you found love in Abuja, you wouldn't accept because you want to spend all your life in Lagos?

Of course, love is the strongest thing, so I can stay anywhere my love wants me to stay. If I found a man with genuine love asking for my hand in marriage, I will automatically say yes to his marriage proposal without minding his location.

You are looking as beautiful as ever even more than the last time we met, what is the secret?

Yeah! Because I have someone in my life and you know, love is a beautiful thing. Once you are in love you will definitely feel happy because that fellow will always want to see you smile, forgetting your sad moments.

Who is he?

Well, I have someone who is very caring and supportive in all I do, so I am happy in the relationship presently and I am very proud of him.

Tell us his name?

I don't want to reveal his name now, but you will discover who he is at the right time.

Your fans will like to know the man who has stolen your heart?

That is something I don't like about journalists, you have asked me if I have found love and I said yes, then you are still asking about his name.

We had rumours about your relationship with a white man, which you denied so is this one a foreigner or a Nigerian?

It is all rumour like you said, but I wouldn't like discussing my private life and I think it should be my business who I decide to fall in love with, either black or white it shouldn't be for public consumption.

Is he also in love with you, so when are you settling down?

I will get married when God decides, it is not in my hands, but the Lord has the final say. But I think Marriage is a technical thing; one can get married on the phone with a minister's acknowledgement and blessing. But you don't get married because others are getting married and later you divorce, like we actors are being rated as the most divorced people in the country. So, I need God to decide the right time and the right person for me.

Who is your ideal man?

My friend, a God fearing and understanding man, but he has to be very caring. I don't care if he is ugly as long as he showers me with love.

Have you found your ideal man?

I wouldn't give you an answer, even though I have told you all you need to know. In fact, it is my private life.

Okay, what do you have to say about the rumour that you are dating an Israeli businessman, or is he the man you are in love with?

I have just told you I am in love, whether he is white or black what counts is love, so let's leave the rest to your imagination.

Has he proposed?

I'll give you the telephone to dial God for confirmation.

That is just the truth. Her private life is simply her private life. No one should put his or her nose in it
