Job Description:

•   The offered position primarily involves leading or participating in the selling of Technology Consulting projects to customers. This involves the extension of a comprehensive consulting offering towards customers, winning and executing consulting assignments.

•   The role of a Technology Consultant is one of the key representatives for Ericsson towards our customers. You should show a strong sales orientation, broad end to end view of Technology and have strong influencing and negotiation skills with focus on opportunities that generate leverage for Ericsson sales.

Key responsibilities include:

•   Drives consulting engagements from lead generation to contract fulfillment in agreement with Key Account Manager (KAM) and/or Engagement Practice (EP).

•   Analyses complex customer requirements and propose a range of solutions, with associated value argumentation and recommendation(s).

•   When applicable, participate as a member of Core 3 team with specialist knowledge.

•   Maintains relationships with Ericsson VP and KAM level to assure satisfaction and trust.

•   Establishes contact with key decision makers in the customer organization on high level (CEO, CTO and/or CFO) in order to contribute to higher sales volumes for Ericsson.

•   Identifies, scopes, and gets customer commitment for (Technology) consulting opportunities, inside and outside projects and Ericsson portfolio to contribute to higher sales volumes.

•   Establishes project governance. Supervises a number of projects/programs, often taking a role in the steering group.

•   Manage teams of less experienced Solution Architect or Service Engineers in Customer Projects to ensure that they are delivered according to expectations and plans.

•   Performs and coaches others to continuously document knowledge to enable an effective knowledge sharing process and organizational development.

•   Creates/drives thought leadership to enable organizational competence development, new engagement opportunities and more efficient, effective future sales and delivery.

Experience and Qualifications:

•   Strong capability in two or more of the following areas: Network Strategy Consulting including Radio Network Modernization (LTE), Voice and Network Transformation, Cloud Transformation; Convergence ; CEM and Data Monetization;     IP Networks; IP security.

•   Capabilities in carrying out Network strategy formulation and technology planning, Network baseline and topology assessment, Network planning and optimization, Understanding of network KPIs, service KPIs.

•   Strong understanding of and experience in database functional and performance design including RDBMS, ACID, NoSQL, Columnar Storage, Indexing and sharding, joins, OLAP slicing and dicing, HBase and Hadoop.

•   Experience in system design and multi-stream ingest, event/log parsing, data preparation and ETL, univariate and multivariate statistical analysis and A/B/N testing algorithms using nominal and numerical data.

•   Experience and deep knowledge analytics-at-rest solutions and real-time analytics solutions with low latency-to-analysis requirements.

•   Experience using analytics tools and libraries such as R, Mahout, HP Vertica, Greenplum, Teradata and visualization tools such as Tableau, Pentaho etc.

•   Experience in designing efficient data models, extending existing data models and mapping them to NoSQL systems.

•   Conceptual understanding of APIs and interfaces: SOAP, Web, JSON, ODBC, JDBC, Thrift.

•   Strong understanding of wireless network elements, PM counters, OSS systems, tradeoffs in IP network performance in collecting large amount of network data is preferred.

•   Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with 3PP vendors.

•   Good understanding of Economics of telecom networks and services.

•   Understanding of business planning and modelling ROI & TCO, Understanding of operator strategies and business models.

•   Is pro-active, with strong communication (written, spoken and presentation), creativity, problem solving and decision-making skills.

•   Is capable of working both independently and leading teams and be comfortable working in unstructured situations and solving non-standard problems.

•   BS Degree in engineering (IT, Telecom, Computer Science) and MBA is preferred.

•   Preferably over 10 years relevant experience, of which approx 5 years in the area of Solution Architect/Manager.
