PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

The Global LoB / Application Services organization focuses on the SAP 360 Solutions (360 Supply Chain, 360 Product, 360 Customer, 360 People, 360 Supplier and 360 Finance). It is fully aligned with the Industry Business Solutions organization and covers various Industry, LoB and cross-LoB areas. TheGlobal LoB / Application Services organization actively drives and coordinates activities in the areas of Delivery and Business Management, Knowledge Management, Service Portfolio Management, Workforce Management and SAP Interfaces Management.

The Global LoB / Application Services organization operates on a global level and engages with customers through Delivery teams which are located in each Region. They also work closely with Global Delivery, Service Portfolio Management, Education, Custom Development, License Sales, OnPremise Delivery, License Sales and Development to drive thought leadership and value-based engagements with our global customer and partner ecosystem.

The Global LoB / Application Services organization has been set up to deliver full end-to-end solution coverage of all the 360 LoB areas, including 360 Product, 360 Supply Chain, 360 Customer, 360 Finance, 360 Talent and 360 Suppliers. This will facilitate stronger engagement with License Sales and Industry Business Solutions, particularly regarding the LoB-focused Tier 1 and Emerging Solutions where we will establish dedicated special expertise teams to ensure market success throughout the innovation and incubation phases of the solution lifecycle (12-18 months).

SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions from R&D / Engineering, part of the 360 Product and "Sustainable Innovation", allow customers to optimize innovation potential by mastering product complexity and effectively manage a wide range of project types on one single platform. The portfolio consists of two main solution areas: Product Innovation and Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management. SAP Visual Enterprise is an innovative emerging R&D solution which enables faster decision making, enhanced productivity and improved quality across the value chain by combining 3D visual information with relevant data from the SAP Business Suite.

We are looking for highly motivated principal consultants (f/m) with extensive project implementation experience who will be responsible for ensuring that our R&D / Engineering solutions will be enriched, promoted and successfully implemented across the globe. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

•   Responsible for the successful implementation of the SAP R&D / Engineering solutions with high levels of Customer Satisfaction, including the provision of functional expertise, guidance and instruction to clients and regional delivery teams

•   Support Software and Services Sales, business development, solution innovation, services

•   creation, project re-engineering and execution of business assessments to map customer requirements to the solution

•   Engage with internal and external stakeholders to proactively position SAP solutions and

•   services; provide thought leadership to drive customer value

•   Create Proof of Concepts (POCs) and support new product development

•   Support successful delivery of Lighthouse projects

•   Troubleshoot customer issues by investigating, analyzing and solving software problems; manage risks through proactive engagements and adoption of SAP quality assurance methodologies; provide subject matter expertise support in case of escalations

•   Drive knowledge management initiatives to enable the global community of practitioners to effectively collaborate, harvest reusable content and share best practices

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

•   Graduate / Post-Graduate degrees (preferably in Engineering or Computer Science)

•   Extraordinary customer orientation with strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development

•   Proficient knowledge of SAP R&D / Engineering technology, applications, and solutions with special expertise in at least one area: Product Innovation (including SAP Visual Enterprise),

•   Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management

•   Strong Methodology & Business Process Management knowledge, e.g. BPM, BTM2, ASAP etc.

•   Advanced certification within the 360 LoB area is desirable

•   Experience in engineering projects with international components in collaboration with

•   Custom Development and Global Delivery

•   Adept at handling project communications, capable of having c-level interactions and

•   engaging with senior management stakeholders to manage expectations and propose value-based offerings

•   Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to comprehend business requirements and create a strong value proposition for the proposed solution architecture

•   Global mobility and willingness to move on short-term notice (to conduct feasibility studies,

•   POC and RFP support and pre-sales activities on a global scale)

•   Fluent English (oral and written) a must; other languages a plus

WORK EXPERIENCE:

•   A proven track record of at least 6-8 years of implementation experience in the area of SAP

•   R&D /Engineering in Discrete Manufacturing and Process industries
