The Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, on Monday, said that. Infrastructure development can only  thrive in a state where the security of lives and property of citizens are  guaranteed.
.
This was even as the governor lauded the  National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, and the Road Transporter Employers of Nigeria, RTEAN, for the healthy relationship among them which has brought about peace in motor parks and the Osun State in general.
.
Aregbesola made these declarations at the formal launch of the first phase of the Government- Assisted mass transit buses to members of the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers in Osun, at Bola Ige House parking lot State Secretariat, in Osogbo.
.
The governor while distributing 70 brand new buses to the union, pointed out that road transportation is the chief mode of moving people and goods around in the country.
.
He noted that it has become the major indicator for measuring the standard of living of the people.
