Victor Anichebe Describes Injury Anguish

Victor Anichebe has continued to lament succession of injuries that is affecting his footballing career.

Albion have won only seven of their 35 Premier League games this calendar year and face a tough Christmas programme at Spurs today and West Ham on Saturday.

Anichebe believes he was destined to join West Brom – but it was not supposed to be like this when he left Everton for £6million in the summer.

Still, he is in a better place than when he endured lengthy spells on the sidelines.

"To come back after a year out at Everton, get injured again, then again, that's hard,"said Anichebe on Mirror.

"I asked myself if it was worth it any more.
.
"Being injured isn't a physical thing, it affects you mentally as well. Your friends and family don't know what to say, what to do for the best, whether to talk to you about being injured or whether that would depress you more.

"I am a Christian, but I was in danger of losing my faith. I couldn't see the point when all this was happening to me. My mum (Florence) sorted me out.

"She said it was a challenge for me, that I had this ability for football and I should use it. She virtually forced me to keep my faith, saying it was a challenge to see if I'd come through it with my faith intact and I'd be stronger for it."

Anichebe missed a whole season because of knee ligament damage, then damaged the other knee and tore a groin muscle.

Injury comes with football so Anichebe should know it comes and go except if it was very worse. That is why they earn huge money

In no time he will be fit enough to play again and then he can be more careful.

At least West Brom managed to get a draw against West Ham. That is a good result. They had a gud game against Tottenham too
