Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo would score 120 goals per season, if - like Lionel Messi - he played for Barcelona, according to Jorge Mendes, reports the Daily Mirror.
.
The outlandish prediction was made by the FIFA superagent when praising the 28-year-old at a gala dinner in Lisbon, after he picked up the Portuguese sports personality of the year award.
.
Mendes - who represents Ronaldo, and a host of world football's other leading stars - paid tribute to the Real Madrid winger in a video montage, which was also seen as a slight dig at four-time FIFA Ballon d'Or winner Messi.
.
"If Ronaldo were to play for Barca, he would score 120 goals per season," he said with a wry smile.
.
The Barcelona forward will go head to head with Ronaldo for the most prestigious individual accolade in world football next week, but this year the Real Madrid player is favourite to scoop the Ballon d'Or prize, with Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery making up the three-man shortlist.
.
Ronaldo and Mendes are understood to have a close relationship, and he played a key role in negotiations over the former Manchester United star's bumper new five-year contract at the Santiago Bernabeu, worth a reported £85million.

I totally agree with this one. The midfield in Barcelona is more solid and fantastic. The club will give him more goals

But that does nt mean Ronaldo will start considering a move to Barcelona. He is fine at Real Madrid, and if not there then Manchester United.
