TASUED National Alumni Inducted Into Office

New members of Executive of the Tai Solarin University of Education National Alumni Association were recently inaugurated with a warning to ensure the development of the association and to contribute to the growth of their alma mater.

The crucial call was made by the former interim President, Mr. Oludeyi Saheed at the swearing-in ceremony. He begged members of the new executive to peacefully co- exist and forge ahead as one indissoluble family so as to create a virile association capable of furthering the existing relationship between and among all members both at home and in Diaspora.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected President, Mr. Buraimo Saheed Olaiya said that the fulcrum of his administration will be the building of a national alumni secretariat, given of soft loans for members to set up small scale businesses and to provide financial support for indigent postgraduate degree members.

He also reiterated his commitment to launch a functional alumni portal to link all members and to work with the University Management on how to upgrade the vocational courses being taught in the institution, as this will go a long way in helping in the production of functional and self reliant graduates.

Mr. Buraimo commended the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Oluyemisi Obilade for her support and dedication in making TASUED a global pride of academic excellence.

The Dean Student Affairs, Dr. B.J.O. Ayorinde urged the Executive to be committed and loyal to the Association and to jettison any personal interest that may throw spanner into the workings of the Association.The oath of office was later administered by Barr. Gbenga Omilola.
