Job Title: Tax and Insurance Management Officer

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Employer: Saroafrica International Limited (part of Saro Group)

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:

•   Responsible for managing tax reporting and compliance within the group.

•   Ensures tax returns are completed and accurate to minimize tax exposures and penalties.

•   Responsible for tax planning in preparation for future filings.

•   Responsible for Management of the group's insurance business.

•   The Tax & Insurance Management Officer will also ensure timely compliance on rendition of statutory returns to all tax and other regulatory authorities.

•   He will also manage the relationship between the group and the Tax Consultant and reconcile tax data on financial statements, together with the Group's Tax Consultant.

•   A good knowledge of the Nigerian Tax Laws and IFRS is key.

SPECIAL SKILLS & KEY BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

•   Able to work within tight deadlines

•   A good knowledge of the Nigerian tax laws and IFRS is key.

•   Ability to work under pressure and ready to travel at short notices

COURSE/QUALIFICATION:

•   B.Sc in Accounting or related field, minimum of 2nd class Upper.

•   Minimum of 5 years working experience

•   A good knowledge of the Nigerian Tax Laws and IFRS is key.

•   ACA, ACIT.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 5 years

REQUIRED AGE: 27 – 32 years
