Ahmadu Bello University Set To Spend N50bn For Internet Connectivity

The Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria is getting support for its various projects in order to keep in touch with the advancement of technology.

The huge support is coming from the alumni association of ABU who is set to launch a N50 billion appeal fund for the execution of various projects in the institution including internet connectivity.

The National President ABU Alumni, Dr Princess Henrietta Ogan, said that all the alumni of the university are being mobilized through a portal to get them together and help solve the growing needs of their Alma mater.

According to her, the choice of the internet based platform is to bring on board people who have never found a convenient means of contributing to the system, adding that the alumni has initiated projects that will reduce the expenses of the university and generate funds for the institution.

She said the alunmi plans to develop an energy recycling system that is based on the use of bio-gas to stem the over dependence on other power means for energy generation.
