NSCDC Warns EKSU Students Against Election Thuggery

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has warned students of Ekiti state university against embarking on election thuggery during the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

The NSCDC Commandant in Ekiti State, Mr. Shem Obafaiye, made the plea when he paid a visit to the school.
.
He reiterated the evils of election violence and thuggery to the society and wants the students to be good ambassadors of the country.
.
In his reaction, the Vice-Chancellor of EKSU, Professor Oladipo Aina, assured the NSCDC Commandant that the current crop of students on campus have been undergoing re-orientation to improve their ethical values.

The VC explained that the newly sworn in Students Union executive has shown practical commitment to peaceful co-existence within and outside the campus.
