Tai Solarin University Of Education Gets New Governing Council

It was jubilation galore recently among staff and students of the University as the news of the announcement the Governing Council filtered into the University Community.

The new Council comprises of seasoned academics and administrators. It is headed by a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan who doubles as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Prof. Olufemi Bamiro.  Other members include:

Prof. Oluyemisi O. Obilade, (Vice Chancellor)      - Member
Engr. Afolabi Sorinmade.                                – Member
Prof. Ayo Alabi.                                                   - Member
Prof. Seun Omotayo.                                          – Member
Dr. (Mrs) Mulikat Salam.                                – Member
Hon. Kunle Elegbede.                                        – Member
Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye.                         - Member
High Chief George Afolabi Ibirinde.              – Member
Chief Derin Adebiyi.                                        - Member

- Also to serve on the Council are:
- Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance
- Permanent Secretary, Ministry Education
- Two members of the University Senate
- Two members of the University Congregation
- A member of the University Alumni Association
- A representative of National Universities Commission (NUC).

Date of the inauguration shall be announced by the Governor and Visitor to the University, Senator Ibikunle.
