3 Students Arrested For Cultism In Ogun State

Three students of ICT Polytechnic, Igbesa, in Ado Odo/Ota LGA has been arrested by men of the Ogun State police command attached to the anti-crime patrol team, Agbara Division on Friday for involving themselves in cultism.

The suspects, namely Kenneth Mokwunye, Adigun David and Okwuma Obiora were arrested for threatening to kill another student if he failed to become a member of Vikings Confraternity.

According to the state's Police PRO, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, the suspects have been threatening to kill this colleague of theirs for failing to join their cult group.

He said, "Based on this threat, the student eventually raised the alarm for his safety."

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikemefuna Okoye, commended the victimised student for exposing the threats of the suspected cultists and advised other students who experience such to alert security operatives in order to save their lives and that of others.

The three suspected cultists are currently in detention and will be charged to court accordingly.
