Eagles’ll overrun Ethiopia – Siasia

Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia says he is hopeful the team will re-enact the performance in their 4-1 defeat of Argentina in Abuja on Wednesday when they face Ethiopia on Sunday in Addis Ababa. Nigeria won the first leg in Abuja on March 27 4-0.

The Eagles are scheduled to leave for Addis Ababa on Friday for their Group B fixture in the 2012 African Nations Cup qualifier to face the Walyas Antelopes.

Siasia told the News Agency of Nigeria, "The boys did well against Argentina and they were tactically fantastic. In spite of just two training sessions ahead of the game, they were very professional about their game and did all the right things.

"Now, I will be looking forward to this kind of attitude against Ethiopia with a better performance to give us the win we need in the match."

Siasia, who said his players surprised him with their tactical discipline against Argentina, assured the fans that the team were gradually getting better to return to the Nigerian team of the olden days.

"I was a bit worried about our tactics before this game, but the boys got things right and they are gradually understanding themselves and we can look forward to the Addis Ababa game with good hopes."
