Chelsea and Spain international striker Fernando Torres enjoyed playing in front of 64,000 fans at Gilette Stadium in his team's 4-0 thrashing of the United States. He scored the team's final goal and admits playing in Major League Soccer could be in his future.

"You never know. It's a long time for that, I am only 27 so [in] five more years, who knows? I would like it, the chance," said Torres. "I like the country and I would like to be a part of the improvement of the soccer."

The 27-year-old forward was initially hesitant to answer the question but then responded when he was asked if he'd like to emulate former Arsenal and Barcelona hit man Thierry Henry.

Still, after scoring Spain's final goal in the match against the U.S., Torres was a jubilant mood considering he was able to get some revenge from his team's 2-0 loss to the Stars and Stripes.

"For us, it's a pleasure to come here to Boston and Providence and have a chance to play against USA," said an smiling Torres, clearly delighted by the team's win. "First of all, because they beat us two years ago, so for us it's was an important game. We wanted to show that we could win against them."

While revenge might have been on his mind, Torres was happy with the support that Spain received during its match against the home side and believes that soccer in America is improving.

Over half of the Gillette Stadium's fans in attendance were rooting for the world champions and the former Atletico Madrid striker said that Spain felt like it was playing back in its home country. That might aid MLS when Torres is considering joining the league in the future.

"We know that soccer is getting much better over the past few years in the U.S.,"said Torres. "So it was a nice chance to come and see the pitches and the fans. Seeing how excited they were to see Spain against our opponents. We felt at home today."
