Nigeria international goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has signed a four-year deal with French double champions Lille.

"I have signed a deal with Lille. It is for four years," said Enyeama.

Enyeama, 28, is a free agent after his contract at Israeli club Hapoel Tel Aviv ended in December.

This past season, Lille won the league and cup double in France and will feature in next season's UEFA Champions League.

A former Enyimba shot stopper, Enyeama has been the country's top choice in goal since the 2002 World Cup.

He posted superlative performances at last year's World Cup in South Africa to fuel rabid speculations about his future.

Enyeama's move follows that of compatriots Taye Taiwo to recently crowned Italian kings AC Milan and striker Emmanuel Emenike to Turkish champions Fenerbache.
