Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships for PhD Programmes in the UK

The Scottish government under the Scotland Saltire Scholarship Scheme is awarding 200 postgraduate master scholarships for students from Canada, China, India and the USA towards the tuition fees of one year masters programme.

The scholarships are available to students as part of a wider strategy to promote Scotland as a study destination and showcase Scotland's higher education offering in international markets.

Available courses:
The scholarships are designed to support the promotion of Scotland as a learning nation and a science nation and are therefore targeted at the priority sectors of:
•   Creative industries
•   Life sciences
•   Technology
•   Financial services
•   Renewable and clean energy

Eligibility:
The Scholarships are available across key priority countries.
•   Canada
•   China
•   India
•   United States of America

How to Apply:
The following principles are applied to all applications to the Scotland Scholarship Scholarship programme 2011/12. Applications that do not meet all of these principles will unfortunately not be considered.
•   All parts of the application form have been completed
•   Eligibility criteria are met in full
•   Course of study falls within the priority areas outlined

To fully complete the application process you must fill out the form below and email it to ScotlandsSaltireScholarships@scotland.gsi.gov.uk and the university you are applying to.

Application Deadline:
The closing date for 2011/12 awards is 17 June 2011. Successful candidates will be notified directly by their university by the end of July 2011.
