It would good for the Nigeria Premier League, if the likes of kanu, Jay Jay Okocha, Ayegbeni sign for a local club in Nigeria. It would boast the image of the Nigerian Premier League, and it would encourage fans to go to stadiums to watch matches.

An average football loving Nigeria, pref-ares to pay to watch European League matches on DSTV or Cable network, than to pay to watch a Nigerian Premier League match.

Brazilians love to go back to their country to play, after plying their trade in Europe, because  their league is organized and player are well paid.

Financial reason and lack of organization, on the part of football administration in Nigeria, discourages aging players to come back to play in Nigeria.

Former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu, says he is ready to return to the domestic league to play for his former club Heartland, if that would improve the Nigerian Premier League.

The two-time African Footballer of the Year, who was recently appointed as the Special Adviser on Sports to the Imo State Government, told reporters in Lagos on Thursday that he would return to the domestic league on one condition.

"If coming back to play for Heartland will make the Nigerian league grow and make the fans start coming to stadiums to watch matches, that will be good. Then me, Jay Jay (Austin Okocha) and the other players will find clubs here and sign.

"I will do that on one condition. If I ask the fans and they say they will come to the stadium to watch our matches, then I will come", Kanu said.
