FG to create Ministry of Information Technology

A Ministry of Information Technology, will boost Technology in the county.

If created, l hope the Ministry will be headed by an expert in that field. It shouldn't be the normal Nigerian trend, where a Medical expert will be redeployed to the Ministry of works and housing.

Better-still, a Nigerian who studied lnformation Technology abroad, with a lot of expertise, should be appointed for the post.

Vice-President Namadi Sambo has said the Federal Government is planning to create a Ministry of Information Technology. Sambo disclosed this on Saturday, on the occasion of the 27th Convocation ceremony of the University of Port Harcourt.

"We are currently working on the creation of a new Ministry of Information Technology to boost technology in the country," he said.
