Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi 2011/2012 HND/ND Admission Requirements

The Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the various programmes of the Polytechnic for the 2011/2012 Academic Year.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Entry requirements for Pre-ND Programs:
(I) Candidates must posses at least four passes at WASC/GCE O/L or SSCE or equivalent qualification obtained at not more than two sitting and must include English Language and Mathematics in addition to any other two passes relevant to the area of interest
(II) Those applying with Teacher's Grade II Certificate must have Teacher's Grade II full Certificate with credit/merit passes in English Language and Mathematics and two other relevant credits/merits
(III) Candidates are required to sit for the PCE JAMB examination and be duly admitted by JAMB before progressing to ND program

Entry requirements for Certificate Programs:
(I) Candidates must posses a minimum of four (4) passes including English Language in SSCE or GCE O/L or their acceptable equivalents
(II) Certificate(s) in any relevant program related to the choice program of study and at least a pass in English Language and mathematics in SSCE or GCE O/L
(III) Some Certificate programs require Candidate to have at least 2 years work experience

Entry requirements for National Diploma Programs:
(I) Candidates must posses a minimum of three (3) credits and a pass in English Language and Mathematics in SSCE or GCE O/L
(II) WAEC Technical Certificate, Federal Craft Certificate with passes in English Language, Mathematics and any other related subject
(III) Advance Certificate in the required program of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi or any recognized Institution
(IV) Teachers' Grade II Certificate with passes in the related subjects to the chosen program of study

Entry requirements for Higher National Diploma Programs:
(I) A good National Diploma in the relevant field awarded by the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi or any other Polytechnic/College of Technology, accredited for the award of National Diploma by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) or any other equivalent qualification acceptable to the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi
(II) Applicants must have at least one (1) year post National Diploma working experience (for those with a minimum of Lower Credit) evidence of which must be attached
(III) Candidate should also request their former Institution to forward their National Diploma academic transcript to the Registrar (Academic) Federal Polytechnic Bauchi without which their applications would not be processed

1. Request for Corrections in an already Submitted Application shall attract EXTRA payment.
2. You have up to 7 days to review your applications. Do not click on the SUBMIT button if you are not sure of the details yet. You may click; Save & Continue then click; End session to allow you come back later to complete your application.
3. The PIN number you collected at the Bank and the Application number generated for you by the system must be kept safely as you will need them to check yourApplication/Admission Status later.

Applicants are to obtain the pin numbers at the designated banks stated below:
1. INTERCONTINENTAL BANK PLC (Nationwide)
2. GUARANTY TRUST BANK PLC (Nationwide)

•   WITH PAYMENT OF A NON-REFUNDABLE FEE OF N3,500.00 (Three Thousand Five Hundred Naira) FOR PROGRAMS IN: HND, PRE-ND, DIPLOMA & CERTIFICATE COURSES.
•   FOR JAMB CANDIDATES & INTRO STUDENTS (i.e. Those that Passed Pre-ND going to ND), YOU SHOULD APPLY WITH PAYMENT OF A NON-REFUNDABLE FEE OF N1,000.00 (One Thousand Naira)
•   APPLICANTS ARE TO PROCEED TO ANY CYBER CAFE OR THE POLYTECHNIC'S DIGITAL CENETRE AND LOG ON TO THE INSTITUTION'S WEBSITE: www.fedpolybauchi.com
•   ON THE HOMEPAGE, APPLICANT CLICKS "Admissions" then,
•   APPLICANTS CHOOSE "Online Application"

•   To Recover Your Application Number (if you forget or did not copy it out & need to proceed with your application) you need to enter your Receipt Number as indicated on the printout issued to you at the Bank
•   To Continue with a previous application which you have earlier started, you need to have your Application number & the Confirmation Order Number issued to you at the Bank
•   To Start a new application, CLICK » Start a new application

The Program Application Instructions message appears. Please read carefully before you proceed.
•   APPLICANT CLICKS THE "Continue" button
•   YOU ARE DIRECTED TO THE PERSONAL DATA PAGE
•   FILL IN THE FORM AND ENTER YOUR CONFIRMATION ORDER NUMBER
•   CLICK "Apply New"

THE SYSTEM GENERATES AN APPLICATION NUMBER FOR THE APPLICANT
COPY OUT THE APPLICATION NUMBER IMMEDIATELY BEFORE YOU PROCEED

THE APPLICANT PROCEEDS BY COMPLETING HIS DETAILS & CLICK "SUBMIT"

THEN PRINT THE DATA PAGE FOR REFERENCE PURPOSE

Be sure to print a copy of the application for your records & submit a copy at the Polytechnic Record's Office.

ON SUBSEQUENT VISIT TO THE WEBSITE THE APPLICANT CLICKS ON

"Check Status" from the homepage to know the status of his/her Application
