Nigeria U-23 striker Ujah joins German club

Nigeria striker Anthony Ujah, the top scorer in the ongoing Norwegian league, has signed for German club Mainz.

The 20-year-old signed a four-year deal and cost the German side US$4.3 million from Lillestrom.

The Nigeria under-23 star has scored 13 goals in 12 matches this season, including four goals each against Stabæk and Strømsgodset.

"I'm happy for this major step in my career," Ujah, who has spent just 16 months in Norway, told BBC Sport.
