Finland: 4 killed in major car crash

Finland is not know for much car accident. This recent car crash, collision of two cars, left most people with a question, "what could be the cause of the accident?" Police investigation into the cause of the accident, would provide an answer to the question.

One woman and three men died when two cars collided with each other in Tohmajärvi in eastern Finland on Tuesday evening. An ambulance carried two more men to the North Karelia Central Hospital. Their conditions are not life-threatening.

The accident happened several kilometres off the Niirala border crossing point with Russia. A car driving from the direction of Niirala started moving erratically and crashed into a car in the oncoming lane.

Everyone who died was in the swerving car, while the two injured men were from the oncoming vehicle.

Eyewitnesses say the first car was moving at a fast speed.

The police are investigating the accident.
