The Spanish under 20 team defeated Australia by 5-1, in the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup, Columbia 2011.

Following the win, Spain tops Group C with 9 points and have qualified for the next round of the competition. The Spanish team will play against Korea Republic on August 10, at 17:00 Columbia time.

Australia is out of the competition, losing all its matches to Costa Rica,  Ecuador and Spain.
