Teragro Limited, the agri-business subsidiary of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp) is seeking for highly motivated professionals to work in its new fruit juice concentrate processing plant at Makurdi, Benue State.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Ref: MM/2011/09

A hardworking, intelligent, highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic.

Position Summary:
•   The Maintenance Mechanic shall be responsible for repairs and servicing and completion of maintenance service requests of all equipment on the shop floor and the entire premises.
•   In line with the "Preventative Maintenance Program" he/she will maintain inventory controls for effective operations.

Essential requirements for the role:
•   At least 3 years experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
•   Minimum of SSCE Certification is required.
•   Strong verbal and numeracy skills.
•   Effective communication and customer service skills.
•   Knowledge of the accepted practices, processes, materials, and tools of the maintenance trades.
•   Knowledge of electric motors, generators, pumps, pressure systems, water systems and other equipment and systems.
•   Knowledge of the servicing and maintenance of simple power, heating, and cooling units.
