 Two persons were reportedly stabbed while 10 others sustained various degrees of machete/broken bottle injuries during the new yam festival of Atani Community, Ogbaru Local Government Area, Anambra State. That is just as the community petitioned Governor Peter Obi, accusing former Ohanaeze Secretary General, Prof Ben Nwabueze, of instigating the stabbing and injury on the victims.

A sad event. The new yam festival is suppose to usher in good tidings to communities, and not tragic events.
