Two things happened last week that make me pity Nigeria. One, Prof. Segun Ojewuyi presented his American thesis at the NICO Seminar on Arts. This very professor, who I am happy to read, just suddenly descended into praise-damage singing. He started running down the management of the National Theatre, asking for more money to be given to the National Troupe.
