Golf: Heineken swells up Le Meridien contest

As the third leg of the Le Meridien Amateur Open Golf Championship gathers momentum, one of the tournament major sponsors, Heineken, has promised a swell time for participants in the two-day event. Over 150 players drawn from across the country will feature in the championship, which tees off today at the highbrow Le Meridien Hotel and Golf course in Uyo, as the last of the quarterly competition for 2011.
