Job Purpose:

•   This project manager will be focused on field development from search to implementation. This role will involve working on Wells Common process and ensuring all assurances are integrated in the deliverables.

•   This person must be a true leader within the organization and develop close, trusted relationships with key internal and external players.

•   Define the oilfield equipment required for fields' exploration and development opportunities

•   Co-ordinate and Integrate resources (equipment and human) to deliver solution to align with development Strategy and Global Project

•   Deliver the project using the Major Project Common Process and Wells Common Process guidelines

•   Communicate and inform the project Steering Committee and incorporate their direction into the overall project deliverables

•   Deliver the project within the financial structure and investment plan

•   Provide efficient and effective communication to all internal project and external region stakeholders (GWO, GPO, Socar)

•   Interface with key project support function/stakeholders on project progress, key issues and risks.

•   Ensure partner communications are effective and timely

KEY RESULT AREAS MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and Manage projects:

1. This role will strategize and implement on related projects including direct resources and the interfaces with other functional support staff with dotted line responsibilities.

2.Deliver the project within the financial structure and investment plan.

Logistics:

1.Define equipment specifications required for exploration and development opportunities.

2.Manage the stage gates and overall assurance plan to deliver the project within guidelines. 3.Liaise with the design team and fabrication team.

4.Make progress reports and planning of schedules.

5.Co-ordinate and Integrate the Project to deliver Regional solution to align with the development Strategy

Technical Support:

1. Provide technical support to developmental and operational wells teams where appropriate.

2.Commissioning and conducting SAT, Deliver the project using the Major Project Common Process and Wells Common Process guidelines

Communication:

1.Communicate and inform the project Steering Committee and incorporate their direction into the overall project deliverables.

2.Provide efficient and effective communication to all internal project and external region stakeholders (GWO, GPO, Socar)

3.Interface with key project support function/stakeholders on project progress, key issues and risks.

Competencies:

1.Experience with Gulf of Guinea (West African) oil fields, with emphasis on the Niger Delta.

2.Experience (verifiable) in development of oil field(s) in Nigeria from exploration stage to first oil.

3.Deep customer understanding and customer-focused project management skills

4.Strong knowledge of the oil and gas industry

5.Good business development skills

6.Strong and deep knowledge of technology

7.Self-starter

8.Outside the box thinker

9.Track record for delivery on complex projects

Essential:

1.Extensive experience in a Wells Leadership/Project Engineering role preferable

2.Project management skills

3.Marketing understanding

4.Project execution

5.Extensive experience managing projects and resources in the oil and gas industry with demonstrable knowledge of Project Design, Engineering Management and the Design & Construction of oil Pipelines.

6.Strong communication and analytical skills

7.Hands-on operations experience in Management position essential

Requirements:

•   BSc in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering required.

•   15 plus years of experience with project management in the African oil and gas (Upstream) industry.
