Job Role:

The Maintenance/Workshop Mgr oversees all the activities in maintenace and transport/logistics, support for mechanical engineering requirement, assist and co-ordinate supporting of technical budgeting, control and scheduling mechanical activities.

Key Result Areas Main Activities & Responsibility:

•   Participate in preparation of proposals, concept development, regular projects, mechanical completion.

•   Provide fixed equipment (batching plant,asphalt plant and mechanical workshop) technical support for Company projects.

•   Present, review, and approve datasheets for all mechanical/maintenance activities.

•   Review mechanical/maintenance design packages on all Company projects.

•   Provide discipline input to the development and/or updating of the company's Mechanical Specifications & Procedures.

•   Write narrative specifications and generate definitive scopes of work.

•   Prepare scopes of work, specifications, drawings and other related mechanical material to a level suitable for subsequent development & implementation (by others), of assigned projects.

•   Oversees, train and develop staff in the maintenance and repairs of all the company's equipment and machinery.

•   Create a database of common faults and develop frameworks and guidelines to ensure prompt and consistent reduction of faults.

•   Scheduled maintenance for all Hammakopp Equipment, CAT, Mercedes trucks and light vehicles, Mack trucks, ensuring high document control.

•   Monitor and reduce costs of maintenance whilst maintaining high standard of repair.

•   Facility Maintenance of all buildings, electrics, air conditioner units, generators.

•   Ensuring high level of standard of workmanship is maintained on all service/repairs to equipment.

•   Ensure diesel quality,usage monitored and tested.

•   Testing of all operators and drivers with the transport/Logistics officer to ensure competent recruit of professional staff.

•   Compiling yearly maintenance budgets and working within the financial boundaries.

•   Compiling weekly/monthly progress reports.

•   Assisting other areas of Hammakopp to ensure we constantly move forward and improve the company.

Key Competencies:

•   Expertise in relevant mechanical design software.

•   Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, API and other Industry Codes and Standards

•   Experience in application & interpretation of static equipment software.

•   Working knowledge of EPC Contracts and construction/commissioning/QA/QC techniques.

Requirements:

•   Msc Mechanical Engineering required,competent use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).

•   9 years in pure mechanical fixed equipment, fleet and facilities maintenace management associated with construction
