Finnish Man Arrested for Fighting With Flight Crew Inside Airplane

A 57-year-old Finnish man fought with the crew on the plane from Spain's Tenerife to Finland, prompting an emergency landing at Amsterdam's Airport Schiphol. He was detained by airport police in the Dutch capital on Sunday.

The authorities say the man first quarrelled with his wife. When the crew intervened, the 57-year-old also fought with them, but was overpowered.

The plane then made a diversion to the Amsterdam airport, where the man was taken into custody.

Local police are questioning suspects and witnesses. The plane reportedly carried 177 passengers.
