Job Objective:  – Provide technical support to the maintenance and operations department, to increase rotating equipment availability and reduce maintenance costs. Complete failure analysis of rotating equipment systems to determine root cause for failures and recommend improvements to eliminate future failures.  – Improve the safety, reliability and efficiency of plant rotating equipment through the application of engineering expertise in providing low cost solutions to maintenance problems.

Job Description:

• Provide technical support to the maintenance and operations department, to increase rotating equipment availability and reduce maintenance costs.

• Complete failure analysis of rotating equipment systems to determine root cause for failures and recommend improvements to eliminate future failures.

• Improve the safety, reliability and efficiency of plant rotating equipment through

the application of engineering expertise in providing low cost solutions to maintenance problems.

• Champion reliability of rotating equipment in assigned areas by promoting training, presentations and other activities to keep awareness high.

Education: A degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential.

Experience:

•   10 years knowledge and experience at a senior level in Maintenance Engineering

•   In depth Knowledge of Reciprocating and Centrifugal compressors and pumps, gas engines, motors and turbines

KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge in oilfield practices and experience in mechanical Engineering

• Experience with preventative and predictive techniques to improve the equipment surveillance programme.

• Strong computer skills especially with MS products.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities.

• Effective communication skills with ability to communicate internally and externally with all levels of the organisation

• Strongly motivated individual who works independently with minimal supervision

• Ability to work in a team based environment and lead teams to a common goal.

• Good written/spoken English with excellent computer skills.

• Supervisory, presentation and ability to develop staff.

• Knowledge transfer
