Rivaldo joins Angolan club

Former Brazilian international, Rivaldo, has signed a one year deal with Kabuscorp Sport Clube do Palanca of Angola.

The 39 year old won the FIFA World Cup with Brazil in 2002 and the European Champions League with AC Milam in 2003.

Speaking at a press conference in Angola's capital city, Luanda, the 1999 World Footballer of the year was optimistic he would bring honour to the team.

"I received offers from several countries, but I chose Angola because of the language and because I liked the project," he said.

"I have been a champion in every country where I have played, I have always given my best for every club I have represented, so I am confident. I am sure that I will be happy at Kabuscorp and in Angola."

Rivaldo will celebrate is 40th birthday in April.
