NNPC clarifies recruitment advert

Abuja –  The management of NNPC says the organisation  is not recruiting at the moment, explaining that the advertorial on its website is for a foreign job in Qatar.

Dr Levi Ajuonuma, Group General Manager, Public Affairs of NNPC, made the clarification in a statement  in Abuja on Monday.

The statement said: `We wish to clarify that at the moment NNPC is not recruiting.

"The said job vacancies on the NNPC website are meant for aspiring professionals, who wish to work at the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, GECF, with Headquarters in Doha, Qatar, whose Nigeria Secretariat  is currently under the headship of Engr. Billy Agha, an Executive Board member of the forum and also our Group Executive Director, Engineering and Technology.''

It said that NNPC made the information available on its website to ensure Nigerians had access to international job opportunities.

The spokesman advised interested applicants to channel their enquiries to the GECF Secretariat as stated in the job advertisement.

The corporation has been besieged with a lot of enquiries about the recruitment since the advertorial was posted on the NNPC website and on some online media. (NAN)
