ECOWAS to hold emergency session on Mali

Abidjan - Heads of state of the west African regional bloc ECOWAS will meet in Abidjan on Tuesday to discuss the situation in Mali, sources in the Ivory Coast government said.

"The conference of the heads of state of the 15-member Economic Community of West African States, which has been led by Ivory Coast  President Alassane Ouattara since mid-February, will be held on an emergency basis," a source in the ministry for African integration said on Friday. - Sapa-AFP
