Kwara State University (KWASU), Ilorin 2012/2013 Post-UTME screening exercise dedicated thread has been created for those that chose the institution during the 2012 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 2012/2013 academic session.

Kwara State University (KWASU) has made a special notice to all 2012 / 2013 UTME / Direct entry candidates who wish to select the University as their first or second choice in the current advertisement by JAMB for change of course, that the following degree programmes are available at the Kwara State University in the 2012 / 2013 Academic session:

College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine
B. Agric. with options in:
1.   Agricultural Economics
2.   Agricultural  Extension
3.   Animal Production
4.   Agronomy
5.   Soil Sciences
6.   Horticulture
7.   Crop Production
B. Agric.- Fisheries and Aquaculture
B. Agric. - Forest Resource Management

Admission Requirements
Five O' level credits in English language, Mathematics, chemistry, Agricultural Science/ Biology and any one of Geography, Economics, Food and Nutrition and Physics. A credit in either Mathematics or Physics is acceptable provided a pass is obtainable in one of the two subjects

For Direct Entry, Five O' level credits as for B. Agric plus GCE  A level or its equivalent in Chemistry plus at least one Science subject from the following: Biology, mathematics, Agricultural Science, Physics, Economics and Geography.     

College of Humanities, Management and Social Sciences
i.  B.Sc – Tourism and Hospitality Management
ii. B.A Visual and Performing  Art

Admission Requirements
For Tourism and Hospitality Management, Five O' level Credits in English Language and any one of social science subjects.

For Direct entry, KWASU accepts O level credits as in UTME, IJMB and A' Level in 3 social science or science subjects, ND upper credit in Hotel and Catering Management, HND (Lower Credit) in Hotel and Catering management and NCE (merit) in Home Economics/ Management.  For Visual and Performing Arts, Five O level Credits in English Literature, English Language plus any three Arts or two Arts and one Social Science subject.
For Direct entry, KWASU accepts five O' levels credits as in UTME, two A' Level in Arts and one Social Science subject, ND (upper Credit) in Visual or Theatre Arts, NCE (merit) in English Language, English literature and any Arts subjects or NCE (merit) in Music and any other subject.

College of Education
i. B. Ed – Business Education
ii.  B. Ed – Early Childhood and  Primary Education
iii. B.Sc (Ed) Kinesiology, Health and Sports Administration
iv. B Sc (Ed) Special Education

Admission Requirements
1. Business Education
Five O' Level Credit in English language, Mathematics, plus any one of Economics, Commerce, Typewriting and any two other Social Science subjects.
For Direct Entry, KWASU accepts five O' Level credits as for UTME, 2 A' Level in GCE/IJMB or equivalent, ND Upper Credit in office management, Secretarial Studies and Accounting, HND (Lower Credit) in Secretarial Studies, Accounting and Marketing and NCE (merit and above) in relevant field.
2. Early Childhood and Primary Education
Five O' Level Credit in English language, Mathematics, and one science subject and any other two subjects.
For Direct Entry, KWASU accepts five O' Level credits as for UTME, plus 2 A' Level passes in GCE/IJMB or equivalent, one of which must be in relevant subject and a teaching subject in the secondary school system.
3. Kinesiology, Health and Sports Administration
Five O' Level Credit in English language, Mathematics, and one other science subject with emphasis on Biology and Chemistry.

For Direct Entry, KWASU accepts five O' Level credits as for UTME, A' Level merit passes in relevant science subjects, 2 major subjects in relevant areas at the NCE including physical and Health Education, Diploma Certificate in Physical and Health Education with at least a merit from recognized institutions and certificate of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria or its equivalent.

4. Special Education
Five O' Level Credit in English language, Mathematics, any one of Health Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics, plus two of Geography, Economics or Political Science.

KWASU POST UTME 2012 - Important Notice to Applicants

It has been observed that some students have experienced difficulty in making payments with their cards on the Post UTME payment portal. Please note the following in order to effect successful Payment transaction:
1.   Only Interswitch Verve and Master Cards are currently accepted for payment on this portal, so ensure that your card is either of the 2 mentioned above
2.   Make sure that your card has been activated for Internet Transaction. If you are not sure about this, please contact the bank that issued your card to confirm
3.   Make sure you have  sufficient balance to cover the amount you wish to pay on your card before attempting payment
4.   Ensure you enter your card details correctly (Card Number, PIN etc)
5.   To view your and print receipts, click on "My Payment Records" in the left column
6.   If you have made payment and your card has been debited, but your payment transaction has not reflected on the portal, click "Re-Query" in your Payment Records section of the site.
7.   If you have further complains, please send your transactions details in your email to support.
