   Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir El-Rufai    

Hearing in the trial of former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and two others before an Abuja High Court was yesterday stalled by the absence of a Prosecution Witness, Mr. Sunday Idowu.

The two other accused persons are, Atine Jubrin, former Director-General, Abuja Geographic Information System (AGIS) and Ismail Iro, former General- Manager, AGIS.  

They are facing an eight-count charge of abuse of office brought against them by the EFCC.

The Prosecution Counsel, Abdulkareem Adeleye informed the Court that Idowu, a former operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was indisposed.

He tendered medical records to show that Inspector Idowu was sick.

Justice Umar then asked the prosecution to make its witnesses available on May 23.

Counsel to Iro, Mr. Kanu Agabi (SAN), urged the court to note that the adjournment was at the instance of the prosecution.
