Job Description

•   Participation in Welding Procedures Qualification process. Participation/witness inspections of mechanical/destructive testing. Review and presentation of Sub-Contracts Weld Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR) documentation to the client and certifying Authority for review and/or approval to ensure only qualified and approved WPQR's are used. Maintained and provide updates on Welding Procedure Qualification and Welder performance to the team and client.

•   Assist in the review and presentation of Weld Procedure Specification (WPS) sheets in accordance with Codes and Specifications which meet with Clients contract requirements for approval to ensure that only technically correct, qualified and approved WPS's are used.

•   Assist in the review and presentation of Welder Qualification Certificates and Contractors Welder Qualification Registers to the client and or Certifying Authority for approval to ensure that only qualified welders work on the project..

•   Assist in the review, approval and presentation of QA/QC documentation required by the team and/or client with respect to Welding to ensure tat all Welding Engineering documentation is reviewed and approved before welding commences.

•   Inform the QA/QC Engineer Welding and QA/QC team and attend to all requirements of the contract from the Client and with the Sub-Contractor with respect to Welding to ensure all relevant personnel are aware of the requirements of welding on the project and advise on measures to be taken with regards Client specification, Codes and Standards.

•   Ensure all NDE requirements are being covered in accordance to Client specifications, codes and standards.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: At least a first degree in a related Engineering discipline, certificate in welding.

HSE Capability: Strong knowledge and application of safety

IT Skills: Proficient in use of software programmes such as word document, spreadsheets and presentations Specifically: Microsoft word, excel, outlook and PowerPoint.

People Skills: Team Management Skills, Collaborative leadership style, Good interpersonal skills
