THE suspended Managing Director of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Mr. Terver Gemade, has been reinstated.

The Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Nduese Essien, in a letter to Gemade, directed him to resume work, pending the final report of the committee set up to investigate him.

Essien said the recall of the FHA chief executive was in compliance with a Presidential directive conveyed through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on December 9, last year.

Gemade's suspension was based on disagreements between him and the FHA Board.

The Board leveled some of allegations against him and recommended his suspension to the Minister to enable an independent panel to investigate the allegations.

The Minister subsequently set up a six-man committee headed by the Director of Finance and Accounts in the Ministry, Alhaji Usman Abubakar to probe the allegations.
