IOP Institute of Physics offered Teacher Training Scholarships for UK, EEA or Switzerland Teachers in the field of Physics in UK

Eligibility: If you have the academic and personal qualities that will enable you to excel in the world of physics education we want you to apply. To apply you will need to:

-Have a physics or engineering degree or have a conditional PGCE offer subject to completing a subject knowledge enhancement course in physics.

-An excellent, proven (or predicted) academic record with a 1st or 2(i) degree; or hold a PhD or Masters Degree or recognized equivalent

-Have an excellent understanding of school-level physics.

-Have an excellent ability to explain physics ideas at school-level.

-Have an interest in physics education.

-Possess the qualities required to be an inspirational teacher of physics.

-By September 2013 secure your training place on an eligible PGCE or School Direct physics or physics with math course in England for the 2013/14 academic year.

-Be eligible to draw down a tuition fee loan from the Student Loans Company

-Meet the bursary eligibility criteria as set out in the Teaching Agency bursary guidance

Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of UK, European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: To make becoming a physics teacher even more rewarding we award Teacher Training Scholarships to the most outstanding individuals entering teacher training. As an IOP Scholar you will not only receive £20,000 to help you with your living costs  but will become part of a scholarship community giving you endless opportunities to make a difference to the future of physics education.
